TUBMANBURG, February 25 (LINA) – Civil Society Organizations in Bomi County have embarked on a one-week general clean -up campaign of Tubmanburg, the county’s capital.

Speaking to journalists at the start of the exercise in Tubmanburg Monday, the chairman of the Bomi CSOs Boima Sando said the exercise is intended to give the city a face-lift and a better sanitary condition.

Sando told journalists that over 200 persons from 20 communities in Tubmanburg volunteered their services to the exercise and urged residents to see the clean-up as a challenge in making their communities safe and healthy.

He regretted the lack of tools and called on non-governmental organizations and the local authority to help alleviate the problem to make the campaign successful.
