MONROVIA, March 2 (LINA) - The Secretary-General of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL), D. Kaihenneh Sengbeh, says the Union will continue advocate for free speech and social justice, but will not do it blindly.

He, therefore, warned media institutions in whose interest the Union will be advocating to be professional in the discharge of the professional duties.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Sengbeh gave the assurance in Gbarnga, Bong County at the weekend when he served as keynote speaker at programs marking the 10th anniversary of the Super Bongese Community Radio located in the city.

Mr. Sengbeh cautioned community radios not allow themselves to be used to disappoint public trust or violate the rights of people who deserve to be heard.

“When you do that, the PUL will clamp down on you, with no fear or favor,” the PUL official noted.
