ROBERTSPORT, March 2(LINA) - Grand Cape Mount Development Superintendent, Tenneh S. Kpedebah, is dissatisfied with the slow pace of construction work on two bridges in the county by a local firm.

Superintendent Kpedebah puts the value of the bridges being built by Quality Engineering and Standard Technology, at over US$1million.
According to the Liberia News Agency (LINA) Superintendent Kpedebah made the statement over the weekend in Bamballa Town, Porkpa District while on a projects inspection tour.
She told journalists that the company and the county leadership signed a contractual agreement in January 2014 to construct two bridges in Kaylia Town, Porkpa and Tallah Town, Garwula districts.
Kpedebah noted that since the signing of the contract, the company has received 85 percent of the money and has done less than 25 percent of the work, adding: “We will take legal action if the company fails to complete the projects on the date stated in the contract.”
When contacted, the company’s Procurement officer, Andrew Johnson, who neither accepted nor denied the allegation by the county official, said the management will meet up with the deadline set in the contract.

In a related development, Superintendent Kpedebah has commended the management of Associated Builders Contractors for the construction of the Diah River Bridge valued at over US$548,000.
