President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the Republic of Bulgaria on the occasion commemorating the National Day of that country.

In the message to her Bulgarian counterpart, Rosen Plevneliev, the Liberian leader asserted that as Bulgaria commemorates this important day in its history, it is her ardent hope that the two countries will further strengthen their bilateral relations based on mutual interests and values as they work within the United Nations in successfully upholding the principles set to protect peace, security and economic stability.

In a Foreign Affairs release, President Sirleaf then wished for the Government and people of Bulgaria, the blessings of peace, unity and economic prosperity.
