MONROVIA, March 4 (LINA) -The Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) has introduced a Resident Examiners Attachment Program (REAP) to further enhance and deepen the examiners’ understanding of commercial banks operations.

According to the CBL 2014 Annual Report, the program involves the assignment of CBL examiners at various commercial banks to broaden their understanding of risk profiling and institutional setup.

According to the report, the program seeks to develop appropriate supervisory strategy and plan for each bank.

The report noted that this policy is also part of the bank’s strategy to ensure an effective and robust supervisory regime.
