MONROVIA, April 1 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has expressed confidence that the Incident Management System (IMS) in collaboration with international and local partners will bring an end to the Ebola crisis.

 
She said regardless of Liberia’s recent setback which saw one of its citizens test positive of the virus after the country made a significant achievement in its count-down process, Liberia will still prevail over Ebola
 
Delivering a nationwide address at her Foreign Ministry office Wednesday, President Sirleaf praised the concerted efforts and resilience of the Liberian people in containing the deadly disease.
 
“Across superficial and historic divisions of our nation we stood together, we came together, Christians and Muslims, youths and elders,” she recalled, adding: “We who have felt compelled to be suspicious of each other came to appreciate the commonality of our faith.”
 
President Sirleaf accorded special thanks and appreciation to health workers, describing them as “brave healthcare workers” who played a “very important role by going beyond the requirement of their duties to assist and save the lives of their countrymen.”
 
According to the President, the continuation of a vigorous contact tracing as well as the provision of care for all those under observation, the nation has started a new count-down to become Ebola-free.
 
She then called on all Liberians to continue adhere to all of the preventive measures they are already familiar with to contain further spread of the disease.
