(LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf says the government will make it easier to do business by reducing the bureaucratic hurdles to create a more conducive and friendly business environment.

She said while the administration will continue to do its part, this will be done by ensuring that the tax regime is fair and allows businesses to expand.

“We will also continue to improve the infrastructure required for business success,” she assured in an address to the nation on Wednesday.

She indicated that government is determined that in all that it does the private sector must become the driving force of the economy and that Liberian entrepreneurship must play its rightful role.

“This can only be achieved with your support in promoting and buying products made in Liberia, in maintaining a good credit rating, in paying your rightful taxes,” she emphasized.
