SANNIQUELLIE, April 8 (LINA) - The Liberian National Police (LNP) in Nimba County has arrested, charged and sent to court Randall Freeman, 33, for attempting to set ablaze one of the earth moving machines of the county.

Randall, during police investigation admitted attempting to set the bulldozer machine ablaze last Thursday, but noted that no major destruction occurred due to the intervention of the citizens of Gbeie Vonweay Town in Nimba County.

The 33-year-old is appealing to the county’s local authority, the Legislative Caucus and the citizenry to forgive him for attempting to set ablaze the county’s yellow machine.

Residents in the area say Freeman, a high school graduate seeking higher education in Montserrado County, could have attempted such action out of frustration.

Meanwhile, the county’s officials say the damage done has been repaired and the machine has resumed active work in the region.
