April 13(LINA) -The General Overseer of the Dominion Christian Fellowship, Bishop Isaac Winker, has cautioned clergymen in the country to live lives worth emulating.
He described as appalling the attitude of some clergymen which, he noted, has brought reproach to them and even God, causing people to look down on good clergymen.
Bishop Winker gave the warning Sunday at a program marking the dedication of the newly-constructed edifice of the Light Temple Church in Barnesville Estate.
“Let your lifestyle encourage people to follow and win souls to Christ and stop pretending to people that you are an Apostle when you do not exemplify this by your attitude,” Bishop Winker noted
He cautioned the congregation of Light Temple Church to do things that will invoke God’s blessing on the church, noting, ”it can be done when you abide by all of the rules outlined in the Holy Bible”.
In remarks at the ceremony, the Presiding Prelate of the church, Bishop Momo K. Francis, extended thanks to God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon the congregation and warned Christians to strengthen themselves in order to withstand the challenges of the last days.
