MONROVIA May 6(LINA) -The Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Labor, Representative Christian Chea, has urged heads of community radio stations not to allow their airwaves to be used as platforms for people to rain insults on others.

He observed that even though local radio stations are intended to provide news and information to communities, the heads of these media institutions are now using them as platforms for politicians to insult others.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency Tuesday, the River Gee County Representative made no specific reference to a local radio which is being used by politicians to insult others.

According to Chea, such stations do not give the persons attacked the opportunity to air their side of the story.

He expressed fear that such practice, if not stopped, will create confusion among citizens.
