MONROVIA, May 6 (LINA)-The acting Deputy Director of Police for Operations, Col. Prince Mulbah, says discipline and hard work will be the hallmark of his administration.
Col. Mulbah, who is former Chief of the Professional Standard Division at the Liberia National Police, was appointed to act in place of Col. Abraham Kromah who was dismissed along with other senior police officers recently.
President Sirleaf also dismissed Samuel Nimley, Assistant Director for Intelligence; Phil Tougbey, Assistant Director for Administration, while Joseph B. Flomo, Assistant Director for Crime Services Department was transferred to the Assistant Director for Intelligence post.
Speaking Wednesday when he officially took over, Col. Mulbah said he comes to the position with vast knowledge and experience, and warned against anyone taking his quiet nature as a weakness.
Col. Mulbah, who spoke on behalf of the newly-appointed police officers, encouraged members of the LNP to remain steadfast in performing their professional duties and avoid presenting themselves as masters of the people.
In remarks at the ceremony, the Inspector General of Police, Clarence Massaquoi, lauded the Liberian leader for appointing people at the LNP drawn from within the rank and file of the institution.
He appealed to the public not to politicize the work of the Liberia National Police as it was prepared and willing to serve the people.
