MONROVIA, May 9 (LINA) - Montserrado County Representative Solomon George has challenged residents of West Point Township to properly maintain the Nathaniel Varney Massaquoi Elementary and Junior High to enable their children acquire the needed education.

Representative George observed that the best thing parents can give their children is education which, he noted, is one of the keys to success in life.
The Montserrado County Lawmaker proffered the challenge Friday at the re-opening and turning over ceremony of the N. V. Massaquoi Elementary and Junior High School which was recently renovated by the Engineering Battalion of the Armed Forces of Liberia and residents of West Point.

Meanwhile, Representative George has stressed the need for Liberians to forge unity to foster progress and development to move their country forward and improve their living standard.

Also speaking at the program, the acting Commissioner of WestPoint Township, Sampson J. Nyan, expressed gratitude to the Liberian Government and its partners for renovating the school and assured that the buildings and other facilities of the school would be maintained.
Acting commissioner Nyan said the school will help enhance the educational of standard students in the West Point Township to enable them compete with other students around Monrovia and its environs.
