(LINA) - The Assistant Health Manager of Save the Children International (SCI), Mohammed Mansallay, says the organization will remain fully supportive of the health sector of Margibi County.

Mansallay said the health sector remains a priority and concern to SCI and so it will give needed support that will enable it provide the much-needed health care delivery.

He made the statement over the weekend on the compound of the C. H. Rennie Memorial Hospital in Kakata at the launch of the National Integrated Immunization Campaign against measles and polio.

He told the Liberia News Agency that already, SCI is providing support to nearly all the primary health care facilities in Margibi County.

He revealed that Save the Children was the first INGO that never stopped operating in Margibi County during the height of the Ebola virus that struck the county badly.

He said launching such integrated immunization was important to the country’s post-Ebola program as it will help immunize children against preventable diseases that could have been tackled long before the outbreak.
