(LINA) – The Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA) says it is negotiating the establishment of a Board of Directors to assist it in decision-making and collaboration.
According to Director General Oblayon B. Nyemah, in the absence of a Board of Directors, his administration has constituted Academic and Executive Management Boards comprising internal and external professionals that periodically meet to discuss issues at the institution.
Nyemah made the statement when he outlined LIPA’s achievements under his stewardship at ceremonies marking the institution’s 46th anniversary Wednesday in Monrovia.
Nyemah disclosed the existence of a Memorandum of Understanding between LIPA and AMITLAW, a Ghanaian Professional Development Center, to train Liberians in the oil and gas sector.
He said the MOU follows the conduct of a needs assessment in the oil and gas sector in consideration of the country’s economy and the emerging oil and gas development.
