TUBMANBURG, March 29 (LINA) – The National Drug Service (NDS) has distributed a consignment of drugs to the Tubmanburg Government Hospital, the only referral health center in Bomi County.
Delivering the drugs on Thursday, NDS Senior Logistics Officer, Johnny Fayiah, said the supply of drugs to hospitals in the counties is done based upon the request of the County Health Team (CHT).
Mr. Fayiah said it is also in line with Government’s commitment and obligation to provide medication for its citizens at all cost.
Receiving the drugs, the County Health Officer (CHO), Dr. Rhoda Peters, expressed gratitude to the NDS for the timely supply of the drugs to the hospital.
Dr. Peters encouraged citizens of the county to go to the hospital for treatment, instead of just dwelling on self-prescription.
Dr. Peters said with the timely supply of drugs, the hospital is prepared to treat patients at all times.
She praised the NDS for always responding to the call of the County Health Team which, she noted, is good for the survival of patients.
