TUBMANMBURG, May 15 (LINA) - The Commissioner of Dewein District, Bomi County, Mr. Foley Siryon, has disclosed the construction of a modern high school in the district.

Commissioner Siryon said the high school will be built in Jenneh #3 Compound, which is the district’s headquarters.

Siryon said when completed, it will be the only high school in the district.

Siryon made the disclosure in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Tubmanburg recently.

He told the LINA that the US$200,000 needed for the project was made available by the county’s local authority from the County and Social Development Funds.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Siryon has disclosed that the World Bank has constructed a modern elementary school in Mosin Clan, an area in Bomi that shares a common border with Grand Cape Mount County.

Siryon, who did not say the cost of the school project, said the building is currently being painted for the students of Mosin Clan to begin normal schooling activities.

He called on the government, national and international non-governmental organizations to help construct more schools and health centers in the district.
