Pres. Sirleaf Hails GSA Broh For Work In Sinoe, Grand Kru

(LINA) - The Liberian leader has praised the Director General of the General Services Agency (GSA), Ms. Mary T. Broh, for the level of work done in Sinoe and Grand Kru counties in preparation for this year’s Independence Day celebration in the two counties.

Bro is spearheading the renovation of the presidential guest house and the J. Dominic Bing, Sr. City Hall in Greenville, Sinoe County, where the main Independence Anniversary celebrations are slated to take place.

According to an Executive Mansion release, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf made the commendation at the end of her visits to Sinoe and Grand Kru counties to assess the level of progress and preparation for the July 26 celebration to be co-hosted by the two counties.

Projects expected to be dedicated in Sinoe County during the anniversary are the proposed superintendent’s residence and guest house, multi-purpose youth center, statutory district superintendent’s residence in Juarzon, and the Delkilo Public School in Numepo District.

During her visit to Barclayville on Thursday, May 14, the Liberian leader toured ongoing renovation work at the Barclayville City Hall, newly-constructed administrative building in Jlaoh Statutory District and presidential guest house where she held a meeting with the local leadership, including the Grand Kru County Legislative Caucus, on ongoing preparations.

Projects also expected to be dedicated in Grand Kru County include four administration buildings in four statutory districts, including Dorbor, Boah, Garraway, and Jlaoh; three buildings to accommodate U.S. Peace Corps volunteers teaching in the county; a science laboratory at the P.G. Wolo High School; two others are to be constructed in Sasstown and Grand Cess; 50 solar panel lights around Barclayville; the laying out of streets in Barclayville; and the renovated Barclaville City Hall.

In a related development, President has frowned on the outlook of the Francis J. Grant Memorial Hospital which has not been painted for a protracted period and the grass around the compound has not been cut over a protracted period.
