(LINA) - Bong County Senator Jewel Taylor has donated an ambulance to the Bong Mines Hospital to transport patients in Fuamah District and other parts of Bong County to the hospital.
.

Presenting the ambulance at the weekend, Taylor said the vehicle was obtained as a result of several negotiations with officials of the Ministry of Health on behalf of the people of Fuamah District to ease the problem of transporting patients to the hospital.

She pointed out that although Bong Mines Hospital is operated by the China Union Concession Company, it is incumbent upon government to subsidize it to ensure better healthcare services reach the people of the district.

“Donating this ambulance today is another way of assisting the hospital in its efforts to provide adequate healthcare to the people of the district,” she stressed.

Receiving the ambulance on behalf of the people of Fuamah, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Taweh Freeman, thankedbSenator Taylor for the donation and assured proper maintenance of the vehicle.
