(LINA) - Citizens of Zewordamai Town in Voinjama District, Lofa County have embarked on a self-help construction of a modern clinic in the town.

Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Voinjama Monday, the head of Zewordamai citizens residing in Monrovia, Massa Kormah, said the clinic will help alleviate the health problems facing the people of the town.

Kormah, who put the cost of the project at US$100,000, told LINA that construction of the clinic will also help improve access to healthcare in Zewordamai and its environs.

She noted that citizens of the town and surrounding villages currently have to travel long distances to obtain proper medical treatment.
