VOINJAMA, April 1 (LINA) – Upgrading of a 13.6 kilometer feeder road linking Borlor and Tusu in Quardu Gboni District to other parts of Voinjama District is expected to begin this month.

Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency in the area at the weekend, Quardu Gboni District Commissioner Anthony Kamara said all is set to commence the government-sponsored project estimated at US$24,000.

Commissioner Kamara also disclosed that a local construction company has been contracted to work on the road.

He stressed that the road is “very important”, adding that when completed it will bring more development and open more windows of opportunities for the people of Quardu Gboni to improve their welfare.

Commissioner Kamara observed that the deplorable condition of the road which directly links Quardu Gboni to other parts of Voinjama Districts has over the years hampered development activities in the district.

He emphasized that the road will enhance basic service delivery as well as boost socio-economic activities between Quadu Gboni and Voinjama districts.
