ROBERTSPORT, April 12 (LINA) -The acting Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of the Lofa Bridge Clinic in Gola Konneh District, Grand Cape Mount County, is calling for a larger clinic and additional manpower to meet the growing patient load at the facility.

OIC Garmai Beyan said the size of the clinic has rendered it incapable of accommodating and providing services to several patients who go there for treatment.

Madame Beyan, who spoke to the Liberia News Agency (LINA) Friday in Gola Konneh District, regretted that many patients do not get treated due to the size of the health post as well as inadequate manpower.

According to the acting OIC, the clinic is providing services to patients from Gbarpolu, Bomi and Grand Cape Mount counties.

The acting OIC also said that the sole x-ray machine at the clinic is only used to examine tuberculosis patients.

Meanwhile, Madame Beyan has disclosed that 131 children were born at the clinic in 2013, with 65 of them being girls and the rest boys.
