ROBERTSPORT, May 25 (LINA) - The Commissioner of Gola Konneh District in Grand Cape Mount County, Amos Musa, has appealed to the managements of GSM companies to extend their networks to the district.

He said since the entry of GSM networks in the country, the district is yet to benefit from mobile phone facilities due to the inability of these companies to install network receivers in the area.

Commissioner Musa told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Robertsport that the failure of GSM Companies to extend their services to that part of the country could deny people the right to receive and share information.

He said presently residents of the district were cut off by telephone from other parts of Liberia as well as the United States of America, Canada, Europe, Asia and other countries.

Musa explained that residents will have to travel to another district more than three hours away to make a phone call.
