HARPER, May 26 (LINA) - Calm was recently restored to Nyannyaken in River Gee County, following sporadic shooting by unknown gunmen in the area.

This was disclosed at the weekend by Maryland County Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization Border Commander, Lt. Col. Wilson Nyema.

He told a Mano River Union Peace and Security meeting between Liberia and the Ivory Coast held in Harper, Maryland County, that the incident which involved 25 plain clothes, unknown gunmen, took place on April 18.

He assured the Ivorian security of the cooperation of the joint security in Maryland County to work closely along the border to ensure that peace prevails between the two sisterly countries.

The meeting, which was chaired by acting Maryland County Superintendent Nathaniel Toe, brought together officials of the county and those of Tabou District in Ivory Coast.
