MONROVIA, June 3(LINA) -The newly-appointed Deputy Police Director for Administration, Col. William Mulbah, has promised to work with total commitment and professionalism in the discharge of his duties.

Col. Mulbah, who was recently appointed by the Liberian leader and confirmed by the Liberian Senate, also warned against assumptions that he will compromise his professional principles.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Col. Mulbah made the statement on Tuesday when he officially took office at the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police in Monrovia.

He promised to work with the communities to enhance police community
collaboration in fighting crime in the country.

Col. Mulbah also promised to work in close collaboration with the media in the discharge of his duties, indicating that through working with the media the public will get to know more about the police.

Prior to his appointment, Col. Mulbah held several positions in the police force, including Chief of Personnel.

Earlier, Police Inspector General, Col. C. Clarence Massaquoi, disclosed that over 300 personnel of the LNP are now college graduates, suggesting that the police force is going professional.

He admonished personnel of the police to remain committed in fighting crime, noting that efforts are being made to improve salaries to commensurate with their qualification.
