ROBERTSPORT, Jan 2 (LINA ) –Grand Cape Mount County assistant Superintendent for Development, Tenneh Simpson Kpatabah, has cautioned citizens against selling or buying materials intended for development projects.
She observed that some citizens are engaged in the constant habit of selling and buying project materials from contractors, thereby hindering the completion of projects.
Madame Kpatabah told Liberia New Agency (LINA).Thursday that it was regrettable that those who are beneficiaries of projects were the very ones trading materials meant to implement the projects.
She said in order to curtail this practice, authorities have constituted a Project Management Team (PMT) that will monitor projects and report any foul play during the implementation stage.
Supt. Kpatabah vowed that anyone caught selling or buying project materials will be turned over to the Ministry of Justice for prosecution.
