SANNIQUELLIE, August 3 (LINA) - Nimba County authorities have constituted a Task Force to contain the spread of the deadly Ebola disease in the county. The task force would be decentralized into districts, clans, towns and community task forces, and charged to conduct awareness and seek personal protection equipment for health facilities in the county.

It would also be responsible to screen to the public the recommended videos on Ebola cases that demonstrate preventive measures against the virus.

The decision to set up the Task Force was reached at the County Development Steering Committee meeting held recently at the Tubman Hall in the provincial capital Sanniquellie.

In another development, the Municipal Council of Ganta recently constituted the City Task Force, the first ever in Nimba County, to combat the deadly Ebola virus.

The City Major of Ganta, Dorr Cooper, told newsmen that residents of the city have begun making contributions, including money, protective gears and food to help in the fight against the Ebola virus.
