GBARNGA, August 5 (LINA) – In furtherance of the fight against the spread of the deadly Ebola disease, authorities of Bong County have constituted a task force to oversee the local fight against the disease.

The force, as mandated by Internal Affairs Minister and Co-chairman of the National Taskforce on Ebola, Morris Dukuly, will comprise UNMIl, Muslim and Christian communities, women, youth and student groups, civil society bodies and all community radio stations in the county.
Making the disclosure on Monday at a special meeting, Superintendent Selena Polson-Mappy said the task force will focus on sensitization and awareness building to reduce the workload of the County Health Team to allow it to focus on the delivery of health services.
Participants at the meeting presented several action points, including the use of radio jingles in local dialects, constitution of cells in every district, acquisition and distribution of hand washing buckets, disinfectants and sanitizer to every district as well as convening a weekly meeting for progress reporting.LINA BK/TSS/PTK
