She said the plenty talking on the radio by Liberians will carry the country nowhere, so they should rather get involved in agriculture and industrial activities, establishing their own business and promoting Liberian entrepreneurship.

The Liberian leader made the comment at the dedication ceremony Saturday of Sethi Brothers Inc./Duraplast Plastic Factory and Recycling Plant on Bushrod Island.

“We want to see Liberians form their own businesses too and not only work for foreign business people so that they too can be able to grow. We want to see them become managers and to be given the necessary training required to make them managers,” she stressed.

She called on Liberians to promote Liberian businesses by purchasing locally produced goods as not doing so will defeat the potential to grow Liberian-owned business and create the enabling economic environment that the government is trying to promote.
 
President Sirleaf observed that most Liberian businesses are struggling because of the refusal of Liberians to purchase locally-made goods that are on the market, something she believes is undermining the Liberianization Policy.
