MONROVIA, April 14 (LINA) -The House of Representatives has invited Justice Minister Benedict Sannoh, Police Director Chris Massaquoi and Deputy Police Director for Operations Abraham Kromah to appear before it Thursday, April 16 to answer to allegations of police brutality.

The Representatives reached the decision Tuesday based on a complaint filed against Deputy Director Kromah by Nimba County Representative R. Matenokay Tingban claiming that an officer of the Police Support Unit (PSU) shot one Harrison Cooper in the leg under the command of Kromah on March 24, 2015.

In a letter to Speaker J. Alexander Tyler, dated April 9, 2015, and read in Session Tuesday, Tingban said the incident occurred in the Mount Barclay Community in Montserrado County while Cooper was burning coal.

Tingban indicated that Cooper, who hails from Nimba County, is in critical condition and currently admitted at the John F. Kennedy Hospital in Monrovia.
