He charged that some internet service providers are cheating consumers with mediocre services, something that calls for effective regulation.
Speaking at the just-ended Internet stakeholders forum on Freedom Coalition organized by the Center for Media Studies and Peacebuilding (CEMESP) in collaboration with the Media Foundation for West Africa, Muah also argued that internet is dynamic and cannot be pigeonhole.
He announced a couple developments LIBTELCO has embarked upon, including the ACE cable connectivity, Smart Health App utilization that provides data on individual health and the Educational Class system that seeks to introduce Information Communication Technology (ICT) in certain schools.
Organizers of the forum held on April 14 in Monrovia reviewed the sector and based the event on the theme: The Liberian Internet Environment, Prospects and Challenges.

MONROVIA, April 15 (LINA) – The Managing Director of Liberia Telecommunications Corporation (LIBTELCO), Mr. Sabastin Muah, says because internet is driven largely by the private sector there is the need to strike a balance between sustainability and affordability rather than fostering the dog- eat-dog syndrome.
