HARPER, August 26 (LINA) - A five-member delegation of Maryland County officials appointed by acting Superintendent Nathaniel Toe is expected to leave the county this week for Tarbou in Ivory Coast on a trade mission.

The delegation, headed by Maryland County Inspector Henry Cole, is mandated by Superintendent Toe to meet with the Tarbou District leadership and negotiate on allowing basic goods from that country to enter Liberia and vice versa.

Ivory Coast has placed restrictions on movement at its borders with Liberia and Guinea over the Ebola virus in the two countries.

Speaking recently at his Harper office, Toe observed that the movement of goods into the county from Tarbou has considerably reduced to the detriment of citizens of Maryland County who depend mostly on Ivory Coast for basic food and other commodities.
