MONROVIA, November 17 (LINA) - Deputy Information Minister Isaac Jackson has challenged Liberian youths to acquire quality education to enable them assume key future leadership roles.

Jackson made the call in the wake of the recent reshuffle in government by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf with the appointments dominated by young Liberians.

Jackson made the statement Monday at the Ministry of Information daily press conference in Monrovia.

He pointed out that the appointments of W. Gyude Moore as Minister of Public Works, George Werner as Health Minister, Christopher Sellee and Patrick Honnah as Deputy Directors-General of LBS, among others, speak volumes of the president’s vision and admiration for young people.

He noted that the appointment of “young, promising Liberians” into key positions of trust also signifies President Sirleaf’s belief in generational change that the youthful population has also opted for.
