TUBMANBURG, December 18 (LINA) - The Presiding Judge of the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in Tubmanburg, Bomi County, Koiboi Nuta, on Tuesday, December 16, released convicted rapist, Boakai Harris, on parole.

Judge Nuta said records of the court indicate that convict Harris has served at least five years of his ten year sentence.

Judge Nuta said during this period convict Harris demonstrated appreciable behavior at the Tubmanburg Central Prison.

He said predicated upon this, it was the ruling of the court that convict Harris deserves parole but on condition that two prominent citizens or residents of Bomi County will be granted the custody right of Boakai Harris.

He said those given the custody right of Harris should report once every month on his whereabouts to the Clerk of the Court.

Boakai Harris was charged with the crime of rape, found guilty and sentenced to ten years in prison by the Judicial Circuit Court in Tubmanburg for raping a 13 year-old girl in Tubmanburg in 2009.
