GBARNGA, December 19 (LINA) –The Press Union of Liberia in collaboration with IREX Thursday conducted a debate for candidates contesting the senatorial seat in the December 20 polls in Bong County.

The debate attended by seven of the thirteen candidates, afforded them the opportunity to unearth their individual platforms and how they intend to ensure their implementation when elected.

The debate held at the Dolokelen Gboveh High school in Gbarnga, also afforded the electorates the chance to quiz the candidates on current and future national issues and how they plan to address them.

Each of the candidates responded to three questions ranging from how they intend to address the issues of education, infrastructure, and reconciliation.

The fate of candidates who were in attendance as well as those who were absent from the debate, will be decided in less than 24 hours through secret ballot.
