VOINJAMA, Dec 8 (LINA)-Police in Lofa County has charged a 56 year-old man with manslaughter and forwarded him to the 10th Judicial Circuit Court for trial.
The Police charged Mr. Zubayea Varfley on Friday, December 5 and forwarded him to the 10th Judicial Circuit Court on Saturday December 6, after killing a 15 year-old boy in Yenne Forest in Duogomai town, Voinjama district in Lofa County.
According to the Liberia News Agency, Varfley shot and killed 15 year-old Zubah Gbanoe at about 5.a.m on Tuesday, December 2 during a hunting expedition in the Yenne Forest.
Mr. Varfley who reported himself to the police after committing the act, is meanwhile appealing to family members of the victim to forgive him, saying he did not do it intentionally.
Meanwhile, Mr. Varfley has been detained at the Voinjama Central Prison pending trial this week at the 10th Judicial Circuit Court in Voinjama city, Lofa County.
