MONROVIA, December 10 (LINA)–Former Information Minister Dr. Laurence Bropleh has called on Liberian youths to exhibit attitudes that eschew ethnicity, violence and all forms of conflict across the country.
“You must be vessels of the future by displaying attributes that embody gratitude, professionalism, peace, and peaceful co-existence among the Liberian citizenry," he asserted.
Dr. Bropleh gave the advice to out-going Deputy Information Minister for Administration Norris Tweah, at the ceremony marking the official turn-over of office to the incoming Deputy Minister for Administration Andrew Tehmeh, at the Ministry Wednesday.
According to Dr. Bropleh, youths serving in high offices must recognize that they are not self-made and ought to demonstrate appreciation with a better attitude for the advancement of their.
Making remarks at the program, Tweah assured Liberians that his work as Vice President for the University of Liberia Relations, will effectively deal with issues surrounding the improvement of the education sector and not attacking personalities.
According to him, what the country is in dire need of is transformed minds and attitudes, and not minds that promote pettiness, jealousy and violence.
It can be recalled that on November 16, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf nominated Tweah as Vice President of the University of Liberia Relations and Tehmeh to replace him at the Information Ministry as deputy minister for administration.
