MONROVIA, Dec 12 (LINA)-Police in Monrovia have arrested three men in the Monrovia suburb of Paynesville and charged them with unlawful possession of narcotic drugs valued LD$4,520.00.

Roger Logan, Ansu Kamara and Jonathan Wesseh were arrested on December 6, 2014 during a police raid in the Paynesville Red-light community, according to the Liberia News Agency.

Police charge sheet indicated that 226 wraps of marijuana were found with the suspects who, according to the police, have been in the drug sale business in the Paynesville community for more than two years with supplies coming from Nimba County.

According to the charge sheet, further investigation revealed that the defendants are operating major ghettos in their communities.

The charge sheet said during police investigation, the accused willingly admitted to the crime, which it said, is in violation of Section 41.23 of the Public Health Laws of Liberia.

The four suspects have been remanded at the Monrovia Central Prison pending  trial.
