TUBMANBURG, November 26 (LINA) -The Executive Director of Positive Change for Girls Initiative (PCGI), Veronica Johnson, has called on the government to prioritize the education and agriculture sectors even as the country tackles the Ebola virus.

Johnson said the outbreak of Ebola has hampered the two sectors greatly and as such, the government should place more attention to them to improve the livelihood of Liberians across the country.

Making the statement at a press conference in Tubmanburg on Wednesday, Johnson said though the government and partners are being applauded for gains in the fight against the Ebola virus, it is also better for government to provide some support to these sectors.

She observed that if nothing is done to support the two sectors, especially agriculture, the country will shortly experience the shortage of food as the Ebola disease is eradicated.

PCGI is a local non-governmental organization in Bomi County that is involved in the empowerment of women and girls.
