TUBMANBURG, December 18 (LINA) - The Presiding Judge of the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in Tubmanburg, Bomi County, Judge Koiboi Nuta, has sentenced Dauda Kamara, a defendant in the involuntary sodomy case, to ten years in prison.

Handing down the ruling in Tubmanburg Tuesday, Judge Nuta said if the defendant exhibits good behavior in prison, he could be granted parole after he serves six years of the ten-year sentence.

He hoped the action of the court will send a message to would-be criminals, especially rapists, to desist.

Defendant Kamara was brought down guilty by jurors of the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in Tubmanburg, Bomi County on December 9,2014.

He was charged with the crime of Involuntary Sodomy for sexually abusing a 14 year-old boy in April 2014 by police in Gbar, Bomi County.
