VOINJAMA, November 18 (LINA) - A media practitioner in Lofa County has called on government and its partners to empower the local media in their effort to disseminate messages that will help eradicate Ebola from the country.

Mr. William Dorbor, a staff of the Life Radio, noted that though the media in Lofa County is contributing immensely towards the fight against Ebola, it lacks logistical support to play a maximum role.

Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency recently in Voinjama, Lofa County, Dorbor said the media was looking forward to Lofa County authorities, including the Legislative Caucus, to jump start assistance to the local media.

Meanwhile, Dorbor is calling for strict control of the borders between Lofa and Guinea and Sierra Leone to prevent infiltration and to protect the Liberian side from transmission of the Ebola virus from neighboring countries.
