ZWEDRU, December 30 (LINA) - The Incidence Management System at the Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County is conducting Ebola awareness training for community leaders and residents as the county enters nearly ninety days of being Ebola free.

The training, according to IMS Focal Person C. Allison Paygar Sr., is intended to provide an update of the disease for outreach to all sectors of society, while refresher courses to be offered to health practitioners on a weekly basis are still in progress.
Dr. Paygar told LINA in an interview on Monday that the on-going Psycho-social mobilization training throughout the county will keep citizens and residents aware that Ebola is still around and that they should keep all of the preventive measures in place to ensure that the fight against the disease is won.
Paygar emphasized that the training exercise will continue until Liberia is declared and certificated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international partners as totally Ebola free.
He indicated that support to the health delivery system by the Incidence Management System remains a priority to cater to inaccessible areas lacking health services to fight other diseases, and called on partners to support the assessment process being analyzed to determine areas of intervention.
