Two Found Guilty Of Armed Robbery In Bong County

GBARNGA, December 11 (LINA) - Petty Jurors of the 9th Judicial Circuit Court in Gbarnga, Bong County have handed down a guilty verdict
against two men charged with armed robbery.

The jurors in a unanimous verdict Wednesday afternoon found defendants William T.F. Senni and Solomon Torlar guilty of robbing Private prosecutor William T. Flomo on August 29, 2014.

Earlier, Senni and Torlar, both residents of the Steven Tolbert Estate in Monrovia, pleaded guilty of the crime and prayed for mercy, but Resident Judge A. Blamo Dixon in keeping with laws governing felonious crimes, overturned the guilty plea to compel the prosecution to prove her case against the defendants.

According to court records, it was during a visit to Bong County that William and Solomon who reside in Monrovia, used deadly weapons to rob Private Prosecutor Flomo on August 29, while he was carrying them from Phebe junction to Gbonogalasue in Suakoko District, Bong County.

Judge Dixon has meanwhile scheduled the final judgment into the matter for Monday January 5, 2015 at 10 in the morning.

The armed robbery case brings to two the number of cases won by the state in the November A.D.2014 term of court.
