MONROVIA, November 26 (LINA) -Deputy Information Minister Robert Kpadeh has urged contestants in the special senatorial elections to kick-start their daily political campaigns with the dissemination of Ebola prevention messages.

Kpadeh said during this electioneering process citizens should be fully aware that the nation is up against the contagious Ebola virus that can be contained by spreading preventive messages.

He made the statement Wednesday at the Ministry of Information daily Ebola press conference held at the ministry in Monrovia.

“This is the time to exhibit leadership ability by telling your partisans how to keep themselves safe from the Ebola virus during this campaign process. We must all collectively assist government so that the nation can make progress against the virus,” Kpadeh emphasized.

He observed that the safety of Liberia and its people should always remain a top priority, noting “this can only be achieved if people go into the campaign process with full knowledge about the danger of the Ebola virus.”

According to Kpadeh, people should continue to react to threats posed by the virus in the same manner and form that they did at the initial stage of the outbreak in the country.
