MONROVIA, August 28 (LINA) -The House of Representatives has constituted a team of 15 members to represent their counties in working with the Nat ional Ebola Task Force as well as the lower House’s Health and Social Welfare Committee.
The team comprises Alex Grant of Grand Gedeh County, Alfred Juweh of Rivercess County, Haja Fata Siryon of Bomi County, Edward Forh of Montserrado County, Isaac Roland of Maryland County, Gabriel Smith of Grand Bassa County, Alfred Koiwood of Gbarpolu County and R. Matenokay Tingbah of Nimba County.
Others are Stephen Kafi of Margibi County, Matthew Zarzar of Sinoe County, Johnson Chea of River Gee County, Corpu Barclay of Bong County, Numene Bartekwa of Grand Kru County, Fofi Sahr Baima of Lofa County and Emerson Kamara of Grand Cape Mount County.
Making the selection, Deputy Speaker Hans Barchue, who presided over Session on Thursday, said the team will liaise with the Liberian Senate’s team to fine tune a Legislative position on the operation of the National Ebola Task Force.
According to the Liberia News Agency (LINA), Barchue said Plenary reached the decision to set up the team because the National Ebola Task Force is not making significant progress in the fight against the disease.
He indicated that the position of the Legislature will be taken to the Task Force with the view of working together to combat the virus.
