BOPOLU, August 28 (LINA) – The Co-Chairman of the Gbarpolu County Ebola Task Force and County Health Officer (CHO), Dr. Anthony Tucker, has disclosed that health workers assigned in all districts are being trained to collect specimens of people suspected of carrying the Ebola virus.

He said the training will assist in fast-tracking the dispatch of Ebola specimens for testing in Monrovia.
Dr. Tucker then confirmed that the woman suspected of contracting the Ebola virus died on Tuesday, August 26, in Kparwolozu Town in Belle District.
He said presently the town has been quarantined, adding that no one is allowed to enter or leave the town pending the 21 days observation period.
Dr. Tucker’s comment was contained in the Ebola Task Force weekly report released here Wednesday.
In a related development, the Commissioner of the district is appealing to the Task Force to establish the district Ebola Task Forces to buttress the effort of the County Task Force in fighting the Ebola disease.
