ROBERTSPORT, August 31 (LINA) -`An official of the motorcyclists union in Grand Cape Mount County, Abraham Turay, has cautioned motorbike operators to observe measures introduced by the

Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus.
He observed that failure of motorbike operators to adhere to the regulations could make them to contract the deadly virus.

Mr. Turay made the statement in Robertsport recently in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA) correspondent in the county.

He emphasized that the failure of motorcyclists to honor the preventive measures issued by the Ministry of Health could further spread the deadly virus which has continued to claim many lives.

He said motorbike operators are transacting with people from many areas, therefore they should be the ones to promote the fight against the deadly virus.

He emphasized that all Liberians should get involved in the fight against the spread of the virus, and not the government alone.

Turay said the time has come for both operators and passengers to take serious preventive measures, and urged operators to always wash their hands, use helmets and safety jackets.
