MONROVIA, August 31 (LINA) -The Reeves Memorial Baptist Church in Gaye Town, Monrovia has donated 40 bags of rice and sanitizer buckets to the Dolo’s Town Quarantine Center in Harbel , Margibi County.
Rev. Israel Robert Freeman, Pastor of the church, said donation of the food items is the church’s way of identifying with the people of Dolo’s Town who have been quarantined to prevent the spread Ebola virus in the country.
Rev. Freeman made the disclosure Sunday shortly after the donation of the items to the quarantine center to buttress government’s effort to prevent the spread of Ebola Virus in the country.
He stressed the need for every Liberian to join the government in battling the deadly disease which has brought to a standstill several economic and development activities.
He observed that while government needs the cooperation of the citizens to fight the Ebola virus, those in authority should be committed to their responsibilities to help address issues.
Rev. Freeman stressed that if the Ebola virus should be eradicated from Liberia as soon as possible, the various authorities should remain dedicated and committed to tackling the disease.
