TUBMANBURG, Sept ember1 (LINA) - Dewein District Commissioner Foley Siryon has disclosed that the County Ebola Task Force has provided items to the district to help it fight the Ebola disease.

He said the items included 10 hand-washing buckets and bottles of Clorox that were presented through the Office of the County Superintendent, who is also head of Task Force.

Speaking to the Liberia News Agency at the weekend in the district, Commissioner Siryon said the district has trained a five-man team to effectively disseminate Ebola prevention messages throughout the district.

He said each member of the team will receive US$300 as incentive for one month, noting that the fund was provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs through the County Task Force.

Commissioner Siryon said besides the team, the Rural Women of Dewein District, youth, the Muslim and Christian communities are also involved in the Ebola prevention campaign in villages and towns in the district.

He said the exercise will continue until the Ebola disease is contained in the country so that it does not enter the district.

He urged citizens and foreign residents in the district to always adhere to the preventive measures outlined by the Health Ministry and report suspected Ebola cases to health authorities in the district.
