WFP Donates to Bassa Ebola Task Force

Buchanan, Sept. 2 (LINA) – In order to tackle the fight against the spread of Ebola in the county, the Grand Bassa County Ebola Task Force has received food items from the World Food Program for use by affected persons.

Chief Spokesman for the Bassa Task Force, Adoni Z. Greaves, informed LINA on Monday that the World Food Program (WFP) donated 1,169 bags of Liberian grown rice (country rice) for use by the Liberia Government Hospital for quarantine patients, Health Centers around the county and special communities that will be quarantined.
Other items received from WFP are beans, oil, salt, sardines and plastic plates.
In a related development, the Bassa Ebola Task Force has purchased some essential items for use by health centers in the county. Those items purchased include 125pcs of foam mattresses, 2 used double cabin pickups, 9 motor bikes, 30 pcs of Caller User Group (CUG) cell phones, 10 mega phones and 7 pcs of motor bikes for use at various quarantine sites across the countyLINA / JBL
