ROBERTSPORT, September 20 (LINA) - World Health Organization (WHO) Consultant to Grand Cape Mount County Health Team (CHT), Dr. Akpaka Kalu, has stressed the need to retrain health workers in the face of the Ebola disease.

Dr.Kalu, who made the statement recently in Sinje Town during the county Ebola Task Force coordination meeting, said such training will raise the professional skills of health workers and be critical to life saving.

He also said the retraining of the workers will alleviate the fear of treating suspected Ebola patients and build confidence in the patients in the various health facilities.

The medical practitioner said that in the absence of adequate retraining, it will be impossible for health workers to perform their duties with confidence and fearlessly.
